Annika Vestel, is a physical stage artist from Norway, who has had her working-base in Gothenburg, Sweden since 2011. She has her professional education from the physical theatre academy Scuola Teatro Dimitri in Swizz, and is currently active as a performer and creator within the field of dance and physical theatre.

In 2013 she debuted as a choreographer/director for her own solo-performance Turtleyou! that premiered at Abundance International Dance Festival 2013, and has been performed in several other international festivals and theatres in Sweden and Denmark since then.

 

As an artist Annika is very visually oriented, and interested in themes such as power, consumption and gender.
