Persia Blue is an Australian actress of both screen and stage. Blue graduated in performing arts from Ensemble studios Australia, majoring in physical theatre and Shakespeare. She also studied Practical Aesthetics (PA) with Atlantic acting school, New York, the Suzuki method and Viewpoints with SITI Company in Saratoga USA, and Clowns, Le Jeu and Boffins with Philippe Gaulier in France.
After completely drama school her first audition was for Home and Away were she was successfully cast as the character of Zoe Nash. She also made a guest appearance on ABC’s Dance Academy series 2. Blue was cast as the character of Brandine in the second season of SBS’s television comedy Housos, for which it won the 2014 silver Logie for most popular light comedy.
Feature films include; Housos Vs Authority, Fat Pizza Vs Housos and short films including: Circe (Dungog Film Festival 2010), A Broadband God, Report (Pop Films Australia), 2012 (NAFA), Amya Rose (UK), Experiments in Fear (release 2021)
Blue was a member of the actors company for the Hayes Gordon Repertory Theatre Company. She travelled Australia performing Shakespeare for the Theatre In Education (T.I.E) Tour of 2009 and again in 2010.
She has played leading roles in Sydney, New York, Boston and Philadelphia theatre including Bacchic (ITW theatre Company NYC) David Williamson’s The Jack Manning Trilogy : Charitable Intent for (Ensemble Theatre- Sydney AUS) Other theatre credits include: Operating Theatre’s production of Graceland and Asleep on the Wind by Ellen Byron, Stairwell (Tamarama Rock Surfers), Telling Tales (HGR).
Persia Blue is currently based in London and represented by CMA London.
